Privacy Policy

At CareersKitchen Ltd, we are dedicated to safeguarding and preserving your privacy when visiting our site or communicating electronically with us. This Privacy Policy, together with our terms of use, explains what happens to any personal data that you provide to us, or that we collect from you when you are on this site. We do update this Policy from time to time so please do return and review this Policy regularly.

Definitions

CareersKitchen Ltd values your privacy. In the below policies, whenever we use the term “user” or “you” it refers to the person using the website. Whenever we use the term “CareersKitchen Ltd”, “we”, “this website”, it refers to the creators of the website.

The term “Personal Information” refers to information that identifies you personally, alone or in combination with other information available to us. Examples of Personal Information include your name, address, and email address.

Information We Collect

We collect all information you provide us with such as when you register for an account including but not limited to name, address, IP address, email address, physical address, contact number, and how you use our services.

We also record and collect information when:

●      Any survey or form you complete or any customer service you receive.

●      Information you provide on any one of our communication channels or third party platforms.

We use the data we collect for lawful purposes: providing the services you have asked us for, meeting our legal obligations, keeping our records accurate, and improving the website. We will only use your data for the purposes we collected it for.

Where we share personal information with service providers who work on our behalf, those providers are listed under “Who We Share Your Data With” below. Our assessments are built and hosted by us, so your answers are not sent to an external assessment vendor.

We also use Google Analytics on our website. Google Analytics is an analytics software and helps us to analyze, monitor, and improve our website based on the user’s actions. We do this to improve the end-user experience.

Through the use of Google Analytics, we may collect data such as what page you are visiting on our site, how long you spend, and the actions you take on our site.

You can ask us to stop using your information for marketing at any time by emailing privacy@careerskitchen.com. We do not currently send marketing emails; if we introduce them, every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe link.

Cookies

CareersKitchen Ltd uses cookies, which are small text files stored in your browser. Some are essential and are always set: they remember the cookie choices you have made, and which region's prices to show you. The rest are optional and are only set if you tell us we may.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used and where to improve it. Those cookies are set only if you accept analytics in our cookie banner. If you decline, or if you ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected about your visit. Our live chat also sets cookies, and only loads if you accept chat cookies or open the chat window yourself.

Different cookies last for different lengths of time. Your cookie choices are remembered for twelve months, the region used to choose your prices for thirty days, and Google Analytics cookies last up to two years unless you clear them. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page. You can also set your browser to reject cookies, although parts of the site may not work if you do.

Third-Party Links

You may find links to third party websites on our website. These websites should have their own privacy policies which you should check. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies whatsoever as we have no control over them.

Marketing Emails

We do not currently operate a marketing email list. The only emails we send are service messages related to your account, such as password resets, receipts and booking confirmations, which you cannot unsubscribe from while your account is open because they are part of the service you asked us for.

If we introduce marketing emails in future, they will be opt-in only. You would have to enter your email address and separately tick a consent box that is never ticked for you, and confirm by email before we sent you anything. Buying a product or creating an account would not add you to any such list. We will update this policy before sending any marketing email.

If you believe you are receiving marketing from us, or you want to be recorded as not wishing to receive any, contact us and we will action it.

Social Media

Communication, engagement, and actions taken through external social media platforms that this website and it's owners participate in are custom to the terms and conditions as well as the privacy policies held with each social media platform respectively.

Users are advised to use social media platforms wisely and communicate/engage upon them with due care and caution in regard to their own privacy and personal details. This website nor it's owners will ever ask for personal or sensitive information through social media platforms and encourage users wishing to discuss sensitive details to contact them through primary communication channels such as by telephone or email.

This website may use social sharing buttons that help share web content directly from web pages to the social media platform in question. Users are advised before using such social sharing buttons that they do so at their own discretion and note that the social media platform may track and save your request to share a web page respectively through your social media platform account.

Personal Information

We process your personal information in order to provide the services you have asked us for, to meet our legal obligations, and — where you have given it — on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting your ability to use the service.

Your personal data is important to us and we store it responsibly. We do not sell or rent it. We share it only with the service providers listed below, who act on our instructions, and where the law requires us to.

We also may track the actions you take on our website. We do this so we can better optimise our website.

CareersKitchen Ltd may share your personal information with external third parties such as law enforcement, service providers, affiliates or to comply with any legal requests.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe holds those details and tells us only whether a payment succeeded.

Keeping your Data Secure

We maintain reasonable administrative, physical, and technological measures to protect the confidentiality and security of Personal Information you submit on or through this Site. Traffic between your browser and this site is encrypted using TLS, and card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers. Unfortunately, no website, server, or database is completely secure. We, therefore, cannot guarantee that your Personal Information will not be disclosed, misused, or lost by accident or by the unauthorized acts of others.

Rights

You have the right to ask us not to store or process your personal data for any purposes including marketing purposes. We will inform you if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your personal information to any third party for any purpose.

Your account details are kept secure. We share them with the service providers listed below, who process data on our behalf, and we do not sell them or pass them to anyone else for their own marketing. How long we keep your information is set out under “How Long We Keep Your Information” below.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to be informed, the right to access your personal data, and to receive a copy of your personal information. You also have the right to have inaccurate data corrected, and the rights to erasure, restriction and objection.

Who We Share Your Data With

We use a small number of service providers who process personal data on our behalf. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

● Stripe — payment processing. Receives your payment details directly; we never hold your card number.

● Postmark — sends service emails such as password resets and receipts. Receives your email address and the message.

● Tawk.to — the live chat window on our website. Receives whatever you type into a chat, and sets cookies in your browser.

● Google Analytics — measures how the website is used. Receives page views and device information, not your name or email address.

● Sentry — error monitoring for the platform. Receives a description of any fault you hit, together with your account number, email address and IP address.

● Heroku and Amazon Web Services — hosting and file storage for the platform.

● Prismic — stores the content shown on our website. Does not receive member data.

● ipwho.is — works out which country you are visiting from, so that prices show in your local currency. Your browser contacts them directly, so they receive your IP address. They receive nothing else, and we store only the resulting country, not your IP address.

We may also share personal information where we are legally required to, for example with law enforcement acting under proper authority.

Where Your Data Is Held

Some of the providers above are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we rely on the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision covering the receiving country.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We do not keep personal information for longer than we need it. In practice that means:

● Your account and profile — deleted twelve months after you close your account.

● Your assessment results — deleted together with your account. Results cannot currently be exported, so please make your own record of anything you want to keep before closing your account.

● Coaching notes — two years from the date of the session.

● Invoices and payment records — six years from the end of the accounting period they fall in, because UK tax law requires it.

● Live chat transcripts — deleted periodically, and at any time on request. Our live chat provider has no setting to delete transcripts automatically, so we clear old ones by hand rather than on a fixed schedule. Email privacy@careerskitchen.com and we will delete yours.

● Website analytics — fourteen months.

● Server logs, including IP addresses — ninety days.

● Error reports — up to ninety days. When something goes wrong in the platform, our error monitoring provider records the fault together with your account number, your email address and your IP address, so that we can trace and fix it.

● Your cookie choices — stored in your browser for twelve months.

● The country used to choose which prices you see — stored in your browser for thirty days.

If an account has been inactive for three years we will email you to say so, and delete it thirty days later unless you sign in.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us at privacy@careerskitchen.com so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Effective Date of Policy

This policy was last updated in September 2026. If we make a material change to how we use your personal information, we will tell you before it takes effect.

Maintaining this privacy policy of customer information is of utmost importance to us and it helps build stronger relationships, goodwill and increase confidence.
