Careers that actually fit you — ranked, and explained

Career Match turns everything you've told us about yourself into a shortlist of real occupations, each one explained back to you in your own words.

No personality quiz, no generic list of job titles. Career Match reads the vision, values, strengths and personality results you built inside the program, ranks recognised occupations against them, and shows you the reasoning behind every single match. It runs inside your membership and takes about twenty seconds.

How Career Match works

Five stages, start to finish — and you only have to do the first one.

1

You do the work

Levels 1 and 2

Career Match starts with your answers, not a quiz.

Vision, Values, Interests, your Strengths results and your personality profile all feed it. Nothing is inferred from your age, your current job title or where you went to school. If you haven't told us, it isn't used.

2

We build your snapshot

Automatic

Everything you've completed becomes one structured profile.

Your saved activity results are assembled into a single career snapshot. You can add an excerpt from your CV if you want your experience taken into account alongside your results.

3

We rank real occupations

About 20 seconds

Recognised occupations, not invented job titles.

Your snapshot is ranked against official occupational classifications — SOC 2020 in the UK and O*NET in the US. Every match is a real occupation you can research, train towards and apply into, not a made-up label.

4

You get the reasoning

With every match

Each occupation comes with why it fits you.

Every match on your shortlist carries a short explanation drawn from the strengths and values you actually recorded. Read it, push back on it, or take it to your coach for a second opinion.

5

Live roles are attached

Your strongest matches

See what's open right now, not just in theory.

Your top matches are paired with current openings from live UK and US job boards, so your shortlist is something you can act on the same day rather than a report you file away.

What your shortlist looks like

A preview of the Career Match results page

The CareersKitchen Career Match results page, showing a ranked occupation with its SOC code, a match score and an explanation of why it fits.

Ranked, scored and explained

Each occupation carries a match score, its official classification code and a short explanation of why it fits the results you recorded. Illustrative example — your own shortlist is built entirely from your own answers.

How it decides — and what it refuses to do

AI that guesses is worse than useless in a career decision, so Career Match is built around a hard rule: if the reason for a match isn't something you actually told us, the match is dropped.

Every explanation is checked against your recorded strengths and values before it ever reaches you. If the reasoning leans on something that isn't in your results, that occupation doesn't make your shortlist. How often that happens is a number we monitor as a core measure of quality.

It means your shortlist is sometimes shorter than it could have been. We think that's the right trade. You should be able to read every line of your reasoning and recognise yourself in it.

Your assessment answers stay with us

The strengths, personality and cognitive assessments all run on our own platform. Your answers aren't sent to outside testing providers.

What that gives you

Real occupations, not job-title guesswork

Matches map to SOC 2020 in the UK and O*NET in the US — the same classifications behind official labour-market data.

Reasoning you can check

Every match explains itself in terms of the results you recorded, so you can challenge it rather than take it on faith.

Live vacancies attached

Your strongest matches are paired with current openings from UK and US job boards, refreshed as you go.

Inside your membership

No third-party portal, no separate account and no extra fee. Career Match runs in CareersKitchen and takes about twenty seconds.

Your results stay yours

Your answers are used to build your matches and nothing else. Close your account and your match history goes with it.
